Michener Museum

Sculpture outside the entrance to the James A. Michener Museum.

Nothing Like a Good Book #2

Statue outside the Doylestown Public Library. In contrast, the outside of our local library is decidedly lacking in anything aesthetically pleasing. There are numerous "One Way" signs mandating traffic flow - certainly not anything that would bring a smile to your face like this adorable little boy.

Bye, Bye, Birdie(s)

Last sighting of the baby birds. I keep checking, but they haven't been back. I'll miss watching them, but hope they get to a warmer climate soon!

Dana's Dogwood

Fall version of Dana's Dogwood.

Testing, testing

Mommy bird is gone and these two siblings have ventured out of the nest and are trying to figure out what these big flappy things are for!

Window Panes

Pane of glass seen in Marlow, England.
The glass panes in this door, spotted in Greenwich Village, reminded me of the door I saw in Marlow, England.

If it were only that simple.

Official sign in Greenwich Village.

Expensive Walls

Beautiful Swarovski Crystal walls in Rockefeller Center.

Simon Says "Raise your arm."

The Statue of Liberty from the Brooklyn Bridge. Are these cranes mocking her?

Doing My Part

Apparently I am helping to protect the American Elm everyday . . . simply by being nowhere near it.

An Unexpected Find

Happened upon Bethesda Fountain in Central Park . . . I love this flower's reflection in the water.

Yikes!

This guy actually took a break from spinning to pose for me.

Baby Bird Update

After being gone for a week, I was surprised by how fast the babies became birds!

Missing New York

Home one day and missing the new pedestrian-friendly Times Square.

Good Advice . . .

but is this advice really necessary?

Greenwich Village

Seen on our tour of Greenwich Village.

The Brooklyn Bridge

A first for me . . . walking across a bridge . . . well, a bridge of this magnitude.

At Your Service

Horse-drawn carriages lining Central Park, ready and waiting for customers on a cool, blustery, fall day.

Stone, plexiglass & aluminum

This view of steps in the New York Public Library reveals the stone wall of the reservoir that the library is built on.
